Indices: Inventory Marketplace Replace: Nifty Pharma Index Up 0.62%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a good notice on Friday.

Sanofi India (up 3.47%), Biocon (up 2.81%), Glaxosmithkline Prescription drugs (up 2.55%), Zydus Lifesciences (up 2.32%) and Ipca Laboratories (up 1 .86%) ended the day as a best vendor. Gainers within the flock.

Alternatively, Alkem Laboratories (down 1.02%), Granules India (down 0.35%), Gland Pharma (down 0.26%), Natco Pharma (down 0.17%) and Solar Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.12%). ended up as the principle losers of the day.

The Nifty Pharma index closed up 0.62% to 12968.45 issues.

The underlying NSE Nifty50 rose 28.65 issues to 18512.75, whilst the BSE Sensex rose 20.96 issues to 62293.64.

Some of the 50 shares within the Nifty index, 29 closed within the inexperienced and 21 closed within the purple.
