Contagious Memories” and more today’s releases and sales – TouchArcade

Hello dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade review of April 6, 2022. Things are a bit of a calm before the storm today, with just a few new releases and a rather small list of new sales to check out. Don’t worry, tomorrow will be a very important day for new games. At the moment we have a decent vertical shooter, a new installment of the popular indie horror series and… sigh, Peaks Arts. Just keep telling yourself that Chrono Cross tomorrow and you’ll be fine. Let’s get started!

New releases

Z-warp ($6.99)

This vertically scrolling shooting game is from publisher eastasiasoft and developer Panda Indie Studio. It offers several different modes, including a story campaign and an endless mode. The gameplay seems pretty orthodox, but you can charge up a special move to use it when you’re in a tight spot. Without touching it with my hands, I can’t go into too much detail about its scoring system and such, but it certainly seems well enough made for what it is.

The Flash: Infectious Memories ($29.99)

I think this is something like the seventh game in this series that will be released on the Switch? They must be doing pretty well with them. Either way, this is another survival horror game. You can play solo or take a friend with you in local co-op multiplayer mode. Play in first person, third person or classic fixed camera. There’s an additional mode that offers more arcade style, among other unlockable goodies. You probably made the decision to buy this or not before you even read a word about it, so I’ll just move on.

Worm Run ($2.99)

Pix Arts has more junk for us today. This is probably a pattern reversal, but I’m too tired to look any further. This is a kind of endless runner where you play as a worm, moving left and right to avoid obstacles, increase your body size and collect coins. These coins can be used to unlock twenty different characters.

Sales

(North American online store, US prices)

Now those are some subtle choices. Kitiara Fables as well as Cat Quest 2 are the obvious standout games here. Besides, they’re just the usual suspects. And not many of them, in this. Outboxes are quite large, so perhaps your attention is best concentrated there. Ubisoft’s latest sales round wraps up along with some Kairosoft sims, Circle Entertainment goodies, and a few top FDG games. There’s nothing out there that shouldn’t be back on the market soon enough. Rabi Ribibut you can still pick up a few things.
