‘Ace Attorney Trilogy HD’ will be delisted this June, new version will be released this summer for iOS and Android with updated graphics – TouchArcade

Capcom just announced that it deletes the original Ace Attorney Trilogy HD (free) on iOS this June. Capcom’s history on iOS over the last decade has been a very complicated one: the publisher has released some excellent games for mobile devices, but has also allowed some to either be delisted or remain broken for a long time. That Ace Attorney Trilogy HD was the only modern way to play this excellent trio of games until Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox and PC versions were released a few years ago with proper widescreen support, improved audio and more. Capcom’s announcement contains some good news, but mostly bad news. A new version First Grade Lawyer Trilogy will be released on iOS and Android this summer, but old saves and purchase history will not be saved. My guess is that this new version will be a port of the current version on consoles with some tweaks to play on mobile devices. Check out the trailer for the Nintendo Switch version below:

It should be noted that the Nintendo Switch version First Grade Lawyer Trilogy already has full touch screen support. I thought Capcom would update Ace Attorney Trilogy HD or release this new version as a separate release shortly after, but I think she didn’t want to release it for mobile so soon. First Grade Lawyer Trilogy right now it’s $29.99 on consoles and PC, and then discounted to $14.99. I’m curious to see how much Capcom will price the mobile version when it releases this summer on iOS and Android. If I had to guess, it would be $19.99. The trilogy has never been released on Android outside of Japan, so for the first time in this new version, Android owners will be able to officially play in English.

When the iOS trilogy is delisted in June, it will be about 9 years since it hit the App Store. Capcom’s official blog post (in Japanese) also mentions what you can and can’t do when it’s delisted. Read this here. If for any reason you want to get it before the best version of the trilogy with updated graphics arrives on iOS and Android, check it out in the App Store. here. Please note that there are in-app purchases to unlock all content. Check out our old forum thread for the original here. I’m glad Capcom has finally unveiled a new version of the trilogy, but I was really hoping they would announce a mobile version Chronicles of the Advocate of the Great Ace. Hope it goes further. Do you have fond memories of the game? Ace Attorney Trilogy HD on iOS?
